Emily's 3rd Birthday Party

Saturday was Emily's Disney Princess party. We had lots of family and friends who came to celebrate with us. Oh, and it was Matt's 30th birthday party too. Here are some pictures of Emily opening her presents and showing them off.

She got lots of play makeup. She loves wearing it. She kept putting on all of the different lipglosses and chapstick. We had to hide the nailpolish from her.

My mom and dad got her a new Cabbage Patch doll that has hair extensions. Too cute. They had gotten it while they were on my dad's motorcycle in Stillwater. LOL

Mckayla liked Emily's Carebear, that Matt and I got her, more than she did.

One of the big gifts that we got Emily was this doll care center. She actually saw it before her birthday party and kept wanting to play with it. We told her she had to wait until the day of her party. It has a place for the baby to sleep, eat, and take a bath. It also has storage underneath the sink with little hangers.

She loves it and so did all the other kids. Notice Mckayla is wearing some of Emily's Snow White shoes she got. LOL!! Jessi says she always goes around their house wearing all of their shoes too.

Emily is feeding baby Kaci and the new doll is in bed. She got the first baby doll from my parents on her first birthday.

Here she is putting on all of the different lipglosses later on.

Birthday cake time.

Sam found a Princess fan somewhere in Emily's room.

The boys really liked the doll care center too. LOL

Bubble time.

Emily was more interested in picking flowers.

Ben was blocking the bubbles from coming out. LOL

This was a dress that my parents got Emily. It is so pretty. We will definetly have to get Christmas pictures done with this dress on. She looks like a little doll. She also kept calling it her Cinderella dress.

Here she is in her Snow White apron set. Notice how she is posing with her little foot pointing down. She sure knows how to pose.

My mom and Emily were both in her little tent. Emily kept pulling all of the balloons in there.

Here are a few videos from the day. She kept getting distracted with everything she was getting and it was very hard to get her to open the rest of the presents.

My mom's side of the family are big OU fans. Matt and I are the odd balls that went to OSU. Matt's parents now live in Texas and bought a Longhorn hat to cause trouble with the rest of my family. LOL Just watch what Emily does with it towards the end. Too funny!!!

Here is Emily blowing out her birthday candle. It only took us one shot this year. Well, maybe two because Shannon wanted to get a picture of her blowing out her candle. I think it took her at least 3 or 4 tries last year because it took her forever to figure out how to blow the candle out. LOL!!

Thank you to everyone who traveled this way for the birthday parties and for all of the wonderful gifts. We love you all so much!!!!

School Party

Emily had a birthday party at her school on Friday. She was so excited for it. She woke up early that morning and came into bed with Matt and I right before the alarm was to go off and yelled 'It's my Birthday Party'!!! We've been talking about her parties for the past few months and now it's finally here.

Here is Emily with one of her favorite teachers, Miss Amanda.

And another favorite teacher, Miss Chandra.
She had a princess birthday cake made out of cupcakes.

Emily and her best bud Devin.

Yummy!!!
She got lots of little goodies from all of the ladies there.
Peek-A-Boo!!!
They kept calling her a little Diva!!
Thank you to everyone at Emily's school for all her gifts. She loves them all soooo much. You guys spoil her way too much!!! We love you all.

Disney On Ice

Yesterday was Disney on Ice at the Oklahoma State Fair. It rained all morning as we were getting ready. I hoped it would stop raining by the time we left, but it didn't. They had a Princess Pre-Show an hour before the actual show started. There were sooo many people there going to the fair and the disney show. We had to park in the muddy grass and luckily I had two umbrellas in the car. Matt ended up carrying Emily with the umbrella the whole way to the building and I carried her backpack. We took our jackets too and I'm glad because it got pretty cold walking in the rain. Here is Emily before we left.

I made her hairbows the night before to go with her shirt that we got at the Disney store.

Once we got in the building Emily was getting really excited. There was booths everywhere that had souviners that were waaayyy overpriced. They also had spots where you could get your picture taken with cardboard cutouts of the different characters, but the cost was overpriced too. We ended up just going over to the princess pre-show instead. They had some of the dresses on display and they had a real princess there too. Matt put Emily on his shoulders so she could see better.
The princess that was there was Cinderella. Emily kept waving to her and was telling me about her waving to her once he got home and even today.

Here are some of the dresses they had on display.

I tried to get her to take a picture by the other dresses but she wouldn't. I guess it was because there were so many people, but I did get her to stand by Snow White's dress. She was looking up at some lady that was saying how cute she was.

Once we found our seats, Matt left to go get some Funnel Cake for us. It was soo yummy and Emily didn't want to share with us. While he was gone their was a couple of ladies in front of us with a little boy who had a couple of spinny light up toys they were selling there. The ladies motioned one of the guys going around selling them to come over to see what other toys he had. When the guy came over Emily kept telling me she wanted one. I told her that we would have to wait until Daddy came back since he had the cash. He ended up coming back with a TinkerBell light up toy. He couldn't resist not buying her anything. She kept wanting some cups too but I told her we would just go get one at the Disney store the next time we went to the mall.

Finally the show started. It was four shows in one. They first started out with Mickey and Minnie Mouse coming out and welcoming everyone to the show in their own little car. Then it broke down and they left and some of the characters from Cars came out. They were pretty cool. They were actual life size cars and their eyes and mouths moved.

I looked over at Emily, who sat in Matt's lap the whole time, and she just had big eyes taking in everything. Here's a pic of her TinkerBell light up spin toy.

After Cars was over it was time for the Little Mermaid. Then they did the Lion King, which was pretty cool and then it was time for intermission. After that was the big show for TinkerBell. It was neat too but by then I was ready to go. Plus sitting in hard chairs for two hours was starting to hurt our bums. The videos aren't that great, but you get the picture.

All in all, we had a great time despite the rain in the morning. It was well worth the cost of the tickets and the look on Emily's face when seeing Cinderella was priceless. I can't wait for her birthday party which is now less than a week away.
