Train Tour

We went to Disney's 'A Christmas Carol Train Tour' on Saturday in Bricktown. It's a new movie that will be coming out sometime in November. It didn't seem that busy until we got in line at the train station to see the train. The line ended up outside and once we got in the building there were so many people. The estimated time to wait in line was an hour and a half. We figured since we were already there to just wait in line. Emily did really good standing in line with us. Most of the time we were holding her back and forth between the two of us. I also had a stash of apples from McDonald's in my purse from lunch earlier. So that helped too. Here we are waiting outside in the line. Luckily it wasn't too hot outside and we had a nice breeze. I think it was cooler outside than in the building with all the people waiting in line.

Here is the actual train. We got to walk inside of it and each car had different things set up in it for the movie. The first car had all of the old costumes on display. They wouldn't allow any pictures in that one.

The next car had different pictures and tv screens on the wall and these models of some of the characters. Jim Carrey is the older one who plays Scrooge in the movie. I think the other one is Gary Oldman.

The next car had a bunch of models that were hand made out of mat and foam board. There was so much intricate detail on these. I'm sure it took the workers forever to work on these.

This car showed how they actors had to actually wear suits for the animation of the characters. It was pretty neat.

Afterwards, we were hungry and decided to go eat dinner at some mexican restaurant. There was a guy walking around that was doing balloon animals. He came over and made Emily a puppy dog. She was so proud of it. We asked her what it's name is and she said 'Klinghamer'. Too funny.

We had to go across several bridges and walk up a bunch of stairs going back to the car from the restaurant. They both looked cute together from behind.

We didn't realize that we were going to be gone so long and so Emily missed her naptime when waiting in line. She did really good for not having a nap at all that day. Well, maybe a meltdown or two, but not too bad. Of course she zonked out once we got in the car. Not a bad trip for something that was FREE!!
