Train Tour

We went to Disney's 'A Christmas Carol Train Tour' on Saturday in Bricktown. It's a new movie that will be coming out sometime in November. It didn't seem that busy until we got in line at the train station to see the train. The line ended up outside and once we got in the building there were so many people. The estimated time to wait in line was an hour and a half. We figured since we were already there to just wait in line. Emily did really good standing in line with us. Most of the time we were holding her back and forth between the two of us. I also had a stash of apples from McDonald's in my purse from lunch earlier. So that helped too. Here we are waiting outside in the line. Luckily it wasn't too hot outside and we had a nice breeze. I think it was cooler outside than in the building with all the people waiting in line.

Here is the actual train. We got to walk inside of it and each car had different things set up in it for the movie. The first car had all of the old costumes on display. They wouldn't allow any pictures in that one.

The next car had different pictures and tv screens on the wall and these models of some of the characters. Jim Carrey is the older one who plays Scrooge in the movie. I think the other one is Gary Oldman.

The next car had a bunch of models that were hand made out of mat and foam board. There was so much intricate detail on these. I'm sure it took the workers forever to work on these.

This car showed how they actors had to actually wear suits for the animation of the characters. It was pretty neat.

Afterwards, we were hungry and decided to go eat dinner at some mexican restaurant. There was a guy walking around that was doing balloon animals. He came over and made Emily a puppy dog. She was so proud of it. We asked her what it's name is and she said 'Klinghamer'. Too funny.

We had to go across several bridges and walk up a bunch of stairs going back to the car from the restaurant. They both looked cute together from behind.

We didn't realize that we were going to be gone so long and so Emily missed her naptime when waiting in line. She did really good for not having a nap at all that day. Well, maybe a meltdown or two, but not too bad. Of course she zonked out once we got in the car. Not a bad trip for something that was FREE!!

Sneak Peek

We went to a new park to us tonight in OKC. It was the Will Rogers Park and they have a really pretty Rose Garden that has bridges, ponds, a big fountain, small structures, and lots of rose bushes. We'll have to go back and take some family pictures there. (I know Matt's already rolling his eyes at me.) There were quite a few couples their getting pictures done so it must be a popular place for outdoor pics.

I wanted to get some pictures of Emily in her Snow White dress for her birthday. So here's just a few of the many that we took. I wasn't sure how she would do today. I had to work until 3 and she wouldn't take a nap for Matt. When we got there she just kept posing for me left and right. She would cross her legs or feet when sitting and even put her hand up to her face. It was just too cute. She wanted to sit on about every big rock so I could get a picture of her posing on it.

New Backpack

Matt suggested that we get Emily a backpack to carry her stuff in instead of her diaper bag for daycare since she is getting older now. We went to the Disney Store over the weekend and she picked out this Ariel backpack. I went to an embroidery store at the mall and had her name put on it too. Matt said I just can't leave stuff alone. It turned out really cute though. It looks funny on Emily since it's almost twice as big as her. But, she loves it and loves carrying it around wherever we go. She got mad at me during these pictures because she didn't want to smile at me.

So, we went outside and she wanted me to take her picture by the flowers.

Purple Hat

I took these pictures a few weeks ago and completely forgot about them. She came out of her room wearing this hat one day. I thought she looked super cute in it.
