Sesame Street Live

I finally uploaded the pictures from Sesame Street Live. For some reason the Blogger site was having problems uploading several at a time and so I had to upload one picture at a time.

This picture was taken Saturday morning before we left to go to the Cox Convention Center. She was decked out in her Elmo shirt. There was lots of kids there with Elmo shirts on, but Emily's was the cutest. I even got some compliments on it.

Emily looks so little in this picture. She kept going over and pointing to Elmo saying BoBo.

Matt took this picture. They had Elmo dolls there for $25. I thought that was a bit much for a stuffed doll. We'll just stick with Emily's Elmo from Target.

Matt wanted to get something for Emily to show that we went to Sesame Street Live so he got her this flag. She kept swinging it and accidentally hitting people that went by.

After we found our seats Matt wanted to take Emily out in the lobby to let her run around until the show started. We got there pretty early and she was getting restless in the chair. They came back with this Elmo hat that is ten times the size of her head. The people sitting behind us kept laughing because the hat kept falling down on her face.

She would not sit still to even take a picture with me. Oh well.

Matt snuck off to take a picture of the stage. It was really neat. It's hard to tell in the pictures though. They had really cool props and it was very colorful. The lighting was really cool too.

This picture is when the show was starting. The lights went down and the music started to play and then Emily went nutso. She was clapping her hands and saying 'yeah'. She absolutely loved it. There were three ladies with a kid around Emily's age that were sitting in front of us. They kept looking back at Emily and laughing because she was so into it. They couldn't believe how much she liked it because the little boy with them was just sitting there not really doing anything. There were some older kids sitting behind us with their parents and I think Emily was more excited than they were.

Here are a few pictures of the characters in the show. The theme of the show was when Elmo grows up. At one point he wanted to be a cowboy, a weather monster, and some other things that I can't remember.

They had a fifteen minute intermission. There were several people that came out onto the floor and were carrying Elmo balloons. I told Matt he had to go get one for Emily. He came back with one and I couldn't believe that they were $8. Oh well, the look on her face was priceless though.
She was getting a little restless again and then she grabbed my sunglasses off of my face and put them on her. Soon after the show started again. Thank god, because she sat absolutely still for it.

When the show started again it was time for Elmo's World. When the music started playing I thought she would go crazy for it like she does at home. Nope, she sat so still and her eyes were just as wide as could be taking it all in. I just wish I knew was what going on in that little noggin. Elmo's World was just like on her DVDs. They had Dorothy the Goldfish and Mr. Noodle.

Toward the end of the show you could hear all of the kids getting restless. There were even parents leaving with their kids. I could tell that when Elmo's World started that she was getting tired and started to squirm a little bit. She did really good for her first event. Matt and I have been so excited about going to this all week mainly to see how Emily would react to it. All in all, it was a very enjoyable show. I would highly recommend going when it comes back to town.

After the show was over we were all a little tired. Especially Emily.

Here are a few videos. The first one is right before the show started. Emily was really enjoying her first taste of a funnel cake.

This next video is right after the show started. It's not very good because it was dark in there. Plus your not supposed to take any videos, but I snuck this one in.

Oh, my gosh!! Emily was just now standing next to me and she let out a high pitched sound pointing to the pictures on the computer. She was going nuts just looking at the pictures from yesterday.
