Halloween

Emily had her first Halloween party on Wednesday at daycare. She got so much candy in her goodie bag and they ate Boo Stew for lunch. They were supposed to wear their costumes to the party. I wish I would have gotten a picture of some of the other kids in their costumes. They all looked so cute.

Later that night, we had a lot of trick or treaters come to our house. Our neighborhood is pretty new and there are a lot of young families with kids. When we were driving through the neighborhood, we saw kids going door to door on almost every street that we passed by. We just went to a few houses around us and then we headed over to Chris and Jessi's house. I tried to get a picture of Emily on their fireplace, only because I knew she wouldn't crawl away. I can't ever get any good pictures of her anymore because she won't sit still for even a second. I thought the look on her face was so funny.

In this picture, Jessi was trying to give Emily a better view of Mckayla. I've been trying to get her to say baby. It sounds more like BoBo. Oh, she also says uh oh and ball. Which sounds more like ba.

Yep. That hit an age where it's nearly impossible to get them to sit still long enough for a pic. It's enough to make a mother want to pull her hair out! I think I'm actually much more patient with other peoples' kids than I am with Abbey. Maybe because I want the pics to be perfect and she can sense my tension. I've learned that I usually get better pics if I just let her be herself and try to capture moments instead of forcing her to do something she's not interested in. Oh, and fruit snacks help a lot too! ;)

Oops! I meant "they", not "that". Sorry!
