Ben's Birthday

Last weekend we got to celebrate Ben's first birthday. I can't believe he is already one. He is such a cutie pie. Shannon made a strawberry shortbread cake and then made a little cupcake one for Ben. He just sat there and looked at it for a little while. I think he finally started getting some of the cool whip with a spoon after Josh showed him what to do.

Sam got his own little present from his grandparents. He got a cool little football that changed colors from the heat of your hand.

Big brother Sam was handing Ben his presents and then would take them away to play with them once they were opened. LOL!! :)

Here's one of the presents that we got Ben. It's a little monster truck that's rubbery and makes noises when you push the front of it. Matt had fun picking out toys that weren't for girls.

Ben really liked his balloons. Really what kid doesn't like balloons.

Haha...somehow I got a really bad picture of Emily.
This was a really cool little drum. When you hit the top of the drum it would show the different letters in the alphabet. Emily really liked it.

It's MINE!!!

Little cuties playing together.

This was one of the other presents we got Ben. It's a little basketball goal. The crowd cheers when you put the ball through the hoop. The kids really liked it.

Happy First Birthday Ben!!!

4th of July

So, I'm a few days late posting these pictures from 4th of July. I'm on vacation for the week and I've been busy painting our bedroom. I went today to get another gallon of paint and somebody returned two cans of the exact color and brand that I needed. I bought them both for five dollars a piece. I couldn't pass up that because one can is just over forty dollars.
Anyways here are a few pictures that I took outside on our back patio before we went out with our friends for the night.

I bought these glitter tatoos for Emily and she was showing them off to me in the next few pictures. Of course, she pulled them right off after I got pictures of them.

We went out to eat at Red Robin for dinner. The storms started coming right as we were eating and we had to leave fast, so we went back to our house to watch the weather and see if they were still going to have a fireworks show here in Edmond. ( I took the rest of these pictures from Jessi's blog. Hope you don't mind Jessi).

The girls were so cute together and kept hugging each other and then they would fall over.

I pulled out these 4th of July headbands and Jessi was lucky to get a few pictures of them wearing them. Mckayla kept walking around wearing hers on her eyes like sunglasses. It was so funny.
I think I was holding Mckayla at first and then Emily got a little jealous and wanted me to hold her too. She doesn't like her mama holding any other baby but her.

Finally the fireworks started at ten and the girls seemed to love them. They weren't scared at all.

Summer Time

Today was picture day at Emily's daycare with a summertime theme. They just did them this morning and we got the proofs when I picked her up today. Of course I had to pay for them first. Oh well. They were too cute not to get. I also get them on a disc so we can print them off ourselves.

Here's an update on the potty training thing for those of you who don't already know.
I think she is almost fully potty trained. Yaaay!!! She's been wearing panties all the time for the past month or so and she finally started POOPING IN THE TOILET!!!! Yaaaay Emily! She's been so proud of herself and telling everyone and some imaginary person on her princess phone that she pooped in the potty. I never thought I would be so excited about poo. She's also been talking up a storm and surprises me every day with something new that she says. She's also getting so big and tall. She is just growing up sooo fast and I can't believe that she will be three in just a few months. Oh well, Enjoy the pics. ;)

The Performer

Emily has been quite the performer lately. She is really into dancing and singing and just showing off. She wanted to wear this skirt today and she kept twirling around in it. Before I started video taping this she was dancing so much and would lay on the floor with her legs spread out as far as she could make them go with her Ariel panties showing. She hasn't figured out the lady like part when wearing a skirt.

Father's Day

Matt was so proud of his shirt. Rock on!!!
Aunt Kaci got Emily to stick her tongue out and so she kept doing it for every picture.

We did get one nice one with Daddy.

Papa wasn't helping.

At least I got a nice one with Nana.

Dad and us girls. Hope everyone had a good Father's Day!!

Kaci's Birthday & Visitors

We went to Tulsa this weekend to visit with my family for Father's Day, Kaci's 26th Birthday, and visitors from Ohio. My dad's from Ohio and his sisters' and their families live up there. My Aunt Barb and Uncle Ralph came down to visit for a few days. My mom took this picture of us.

We went out to eat dinner for Kaci's birthday on Saturday. I tried to get pictures of Emily with everyone, but she would not sit still or look at me long enough to take a picture.

Here was Kaci's birthday cake. Notice anything wrong with it?? They spelled birthday wrong. HaHa!!
Kaci was wearing Emily's sunglasses.

Aunt Barb was watching princesses with Emily on her computer. She kept wanting to watch it over and over again.

Cute picture of Nana.

Uncle Ralph's turn.

She was reaching for the yummy rolls.

Here is Emily modeling them for me. I guess the bottle caps are all the rage now. They come with all diferent prints on them. I had to order these online.

What's My Name?

The other day Emily wasn't minding me and I said her name in a stern voice. You know the one when you call them by their first and middle name. I said 'Emily Ann' and then she said 'Klinghamer'. Matt and I just started cracking up. How could you be mad at her after that. I was just impressed that she even new what her last name is. We don't go around saying it a lot. I guess she remembered it from the last time I tried to get her to say it. Which was a while ago. Here she is saying it in the bathtub the other night.

Next Project

I'm having too much fun with making hairbows for Emily. I made the hairbow first and then decided I wanted to make a shirt to go with it. Here's what I came up with.

New Project

I've been wanting to make my own hair bows for Emily for a while now and I finally had some extra time today. This is what I came up with. Now I just have to make one more to have a set for piggy tails.
