This is what Emily's bed looks like after she falls asleep at night. She literally has every book on her bookshelf in bed with her, a clock, several princess dolls, a penguin, her blanket, and a ballerina bear. I have to go in there after she's asleep to take everything out so she'll have room to sleep. She's always at the very edge of the bed. Half the time she's on top of some of the books. She cracks me up.
Emily made this 'Tree of Thanks' at school the other day. I had to share it with everyone. She is thankful for Mommy and Daddy (of course), flowers, friends, her teacher Miss Brandi, and last but not least her Princess Toys. I thought that was pretty funny.
Hope everyone has a good Thanksgiving.

New Project
I finished my new project today. I found this really cute Christmas fabric at work and thought I could make something out of it. I saw some really cute skirts on a website and an appliqued shirt and thought that I could do that myself for a whole lot less. This is what I came up with.

Santa Clause
I had the day off yesterday and Emily and I went to the mall. Matt was home sick and so we were trying let him get some rest. Santa has been at the mall for about a little over a week and Emily's been talking about him ever since we saw the display up for Christmas. We were walking by were Santa is at and he was waving to her. She kept telling me she wanted to go see him and I asked her if she would get a picture with Santa. I didn't think she would, but to my surprise she did and talked to him very quietly about her friends and her mommy and daddy. It was too cute.
At first Santa got down on his knees on the floor with Emily until she warmed up a little to him. We tried everything to get her to smile and all she does is say 'Cheese'. I think there was at least five or six different pictures of her with the same expression. After I finally picked a decent one Santa gave Emily a coloring book and she opened it up and started to read to him in some jibberish. I started cracking up. He was going along with it since there were no other kids in line. I wasn't expecting to see Santa this early, especially before Thanksgiving, but I figured we might as well since there was hardly a line to see him. Emily has already told me she wants lots of BIG presents from Santa. She better be a good girl the rest of the year. LOL

School Pics
Yesterday was picture day at school. I like the company they use because you get the proofs that same day. Except this time I'm not too excited over these. It's a cute idea, but Emily didn't smile in any of the pictures. You can also tell she's saying 'Cheese' in every picture. LOL! I think they were going for a Vintage Victorian style. They even provided the clothes. I wasn't sure how to fix her hair so I curled it and left it down. I guess it messed up when someone was changing her clothes. Oh well. I scanned all of these and so they are not the best quality. Anyway, here they are.
Halloween
Well I'm a little behind on posting Halloween pictures, so here are a few that Jessi took. We went Trick-or -Treating with Chris, Jessi, and Mckayla for Halloween. We took the girls to downtown Edmond and they got lots of candy. The city had main street closed and all the people that own businesses down there were handing out candy. It was really busy and maybe stayed for about an hour. Emily sounded so cute when she would say Trick-or Treat and she wasn't at all shy when going up to them.
