Here Comes Santa Clause

Well, Santa Clause came and visited us last night. We told Emily that she had to go to bed and sleep in her bed tonight so Santa could come and bring her presents. She's been sick the past few days and she is still getting over it. She ended up getting a little ear infection and a cold, but she seemed to be in good spirits today. She actually ended up crawling into our bed with us sometime last night and so we woke her up after Matt and I had been up for a little bit. She was a little out of it as you can tell.

White Christmas

Here is a picture of the Snow we got here in Edmond. This was during the afternoon. We still got lots of snow after I took this. This is out in our backyard. There are big snow drifts on the side of the fence too. I couldn't open the door because it was all piled up by the door.

This is just outside our front door.

Matt took this picture Christmas morning. He opened the garage door to shovel the driveway and the snow had piled up this much. Needless to say, only one side of the driveway was shoveled. Which was my side.

It was pretty to look at but not so much fun for Matt's parents.

Decorating the Tree

Last Sunday Emily and I put up the rest of the Christmas decorations and put the ornaments on the tree. I let her help and she was soo excited about everything. It was fun to see her excitement over everything and the Booty Shakin' Santa even though we've had it for a few years. Here's Emily putting the ornaments on the tree. Everything was pretty much on top of everything and all in the front. I ended up redistributing them around the tree when she went to go play in her room. She was so proud of herself.

Wii

Matt and I got ourselves an early Christmas present for each other last week after Thanksgiving. We ended up buying a Wii and it's pretty fun. Emily loves it too and wants to play the whole time. So, we have to wait until after she goes to bed to be able to really play it and by then I'm just too tired. She likes the swordfighting game in it. It's really easy for her and all she has to do is swing her arms with no buttons to push.

This was the first time that Emily was playing this game in the video. She has this new evil laugh that she does and you can hear it in there too.

Where's Emily??

This is what Emily's bed looks like after she falls asleep at night. She literally has every book on her bookshelf in bed with her, a clock, several princess dolls, a penguin, her blanket, and a ballerina bear. I have to go in there after she's asleep to take everything out so she'll have room to sleep. She's always at the very edge of the bed. Half the time she's on top of some of the books. She cracks me up.

Emily made this 'Tree of Thanks' at school the other day. I had to share it with everyone. She is thankful for Mommy and Daddy (of course), flowers, friends, her teacher Miss Brandi, and last but not least her Princess Toys. I thought that was pretty funny.

Hope everyone has a good Thanksgiving.

New Project

I finished my new project today. I found this really cute Christmas fabric at work and thought I could make something out of it. I saw some really cute skirts on a website and an appliqued shirt and thought that I could do that myself for a whole lot less. This is what I came up with.

I added a little glittery heart button at the top of the tree to add something else to the shirt. I think I might add some little sparkle jewels inside the tree too. I'm not sure yet. I think I might have to go buy some.

Anyways, this was my first attempt at making something like this. I think it turned out pretty cute.

Santa Clause

I had the day off yesterday and Emily and I went to the mall. Matt was home sick and so we were trying let him get some rest. Santa has been at the mall for about a little over a week and Emily's been talking about him ever since we saw the display up for Christmas. We were walking by were Santa is at and he was waving to her. She kept telling me she wanted to go see him and I asked her if she would get a picture with Santa. I didn't think she would, but to my surprise she did and talked to him very quietly about her friends and her mommy and daddy. It was too cute.

At first Santa got down on his knees on the floor with Emily until she warmed up a little to him. We tried everything to get her to smile and all she does is say 'Cheese'. I think there was at least five or six different pictures of her with the same expression. After I finally picked a decent one Santa gave Emily a coloring book and she opened it up and started to read to him in some jibberish. I started cracking up. He was going along with it since there were no other kids in line. I wasn't expecting to see Santa this early, especially before Thanksgiving, but I figured we might as well since there was hardly a line to see him. Emily has already told me she wants lots of BIG presents from Santa. She better be a good girl the rest of the year. LOL

School Pics

Yesterday was picture day at school. I like the company they use because you get the proofs that same day. Except this time I'm not too excited over these. It's a cute idea, but Emily didn't smile in any of the pictures. You can also tell she's saying 'Cheese' in every picture. LOL! I think they were going for a Vintage Victorian style. They even provided the clothes. I wasn't sure how to fix her hair so I curled it and left it down. I guess it messed up when someone was changing her clothes. Oh well. I scanned all of these and so they are not the best quality. Anyway, here they are.

Halloween

Well I'm a little behind on posting Halloween pictures, so here are a few that Jessi took. We went Trick-or -Treating with Chris, Jessi, and Mckayla for Halloween. We took the girls to downtown Edmond and they got lots of candy. The city had main street closed and all the people that own businesses down there were handing out candy. It was really busy and maybe stayed for about an hour. Emily sounded so cute when she would say Trick-or Treat and she wasn't at all shy when going up to them.

What an Outfit

I was cleaning out Emily's closet the other day and she found her hat and gloves in some container. The next time I saw her she had them on with her rainboots and no pants. She's so silly!

She was getting mad because she couldn't get the door open with her gloves on. LOL

Fall Pictures

Today I dragged Matt and Emily out to the park again for some Fall pictures of Emily. She was all about doing poses today.

I think this close up of her face is one of my new favorites.

Matt kept saying she looked like a little hoodlum with her hat on. I thought this looked like her homey pose.

Yo-yo waz up my homey!! LOL

Go Pokes

Yesterday we were all decked out in our OSU gear to cheer on the cowboys for a victorious win. Can't say the same for the Sooners. Haha...j/k.

Emily got a new OSU cheerleader outfit. She was a cute little cheerleader. All she needs now is some pom poms.
