Chillin'

I took this picture of Emily the other morning right after she woke up. She likes to snuggle with really soft things now, whether it's a blanket, a soft stuffed animal, or her new pink coat. Oh, and she's always hugging all of her toys now.

Chair

The other day I noticed Emily was climbing is this chair and she loved just sitting in it. Of course she didn't sit in it long until she climbed back out to climb into it again. We've been keeping it in our bedroom and really haven't gotten it out since she was a baby. I'm gonna have to break down a get that one that matches her room. It looks like a comfy chair, but it is a little expensive right now. I wish we could find a good deal on one that looks similiar to the one Lacey got Abbey.

Santa Clause is Coming to Town

Santa's Here! Emily has been so excited about the Santa's we have around the house and was excited when she saw him at the mall today. I had the day off today and we went Christmas shopping. She saw him and started waving at him, but as soon as I put her in his lap she started bawling. They finally got a somewhat decent picture of her. It's ridiculus how much they charge for a picture with him. I just wanted one picture but they make it to where you have to buy a package of them. So I got the cheapest one and spent $17 for two 5x7's. I tried to get her to stop crying by giving her Minnie Mouse, but it didn't work. That's why Minnie's in the picture. As we were leaving Emily was waving goodbye to Santa.

More Christmas Decorations

I got this cute little ornament the other day at Cinnamon Bears, a baby boutique store in Edmond. I love going in there to see all the new stuff they get. I know the lady that owns the store. She comes into Hobby Lobby every once in a while. The ornament says 'Our Little Princess'. You can even personalize it by writing their name on it and the year. I'll have to have my mom write Emily's name on it because she has better handwriting than I do. I've been looking for a cute baby ornament that doesn't say 'Baby's First Christmas' since this is her second Christmas. But, it feels like its her first because she is more aware of everything and is always pointing at all of the decorations.

We added this light up train set to our yard decorations. After Matt saw all of Jessi and Chris's decorations he said that we didn't have enough. He still wants to add more lights around the garage and along the driveway.
I made this bow for the mailbox. Eveyone else that has Christmas decorations up in our neighborhood decorated their mailbox too.

Thanksgiving

Well, Thanksgiving was three days ago and I'm just now getting to add the pics from then. I had to work the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving. I didn't get home until ten o'clock tonight from work and I'm just wired so I decided to add the pictures now. Luckily I didn't have to check at all but I still got annoyed with the customers that would come up to me to ask stupid questions. Anyways, here are some of the pictures I took from Thursday.

Here's my sis, Kaci. We were trying to get a picture of all three of us, but Emily didn't want to.

My mom, Emily's Mimi, was trying to help her walk.

Emily just kept starring at my sister until she became more comfortable with her.
Emily and Mommy.

This is my cousing Jonathan. Emily seems to really like him. She just kept starring up at him. He was laughing at her because she would not move an inch. She was just mesmerized with him.

He kept making funny Donald Duck noises. I remember when I was little that my Uncle Dave would do that too, he's Jonathan's dad. Emily really liked it.
I thought this one was funny. She's not really picking her nose. Her finger just happened to pass by when I took the picture.

Emily loves to sit and flip through books. Mimi and Grandpa were looking at the book together and Aunt Kaci had to sneak in the picture.

All of the sudden Emily climbed up on Jonathan's back. She thought it was so much fun.

My mom and I went into my cousin Bethany's room to try to get Emily to take a nap. She was wired from all the excitement and all the people that were there. We found this wig in Bethany's room and I tried to put it on her but she didn't like it. I think it was some sort of Hannah Montana wig.
I guess everyone else was off cleaning up because I didn't get any pictures of anyone else.
We had lots of good food. Emily really seemed to like my Aunt Cindy's Brocolli, cheese and rice casserole. She makes it every Thanksgiving and Christmas. She also ate most of her turkey but then started to throw the rest on the floor. Since we were over at my aunt and uncle's house we deciced to just feed her off of our plates.

Off-Roading

I took these pictures on Saturday when we were putting up all of our Christmas decorations outside. We decided to let her go off roading. She's use to being on the carpet and tile. She's ready to go four-wheeling with grandpa now!!

Booty Shakin' Emily

Emily was sooo excited to see me when I picked her up from daycare today. So when we got home she was excited to see her Santa and went straight to him. Well, you can see how she was dancing. It's a little bit long. I don't know how to edit video yet.

Christmas Decorations

Well, we decided to put up our Christmas decorations this weekend since I will be working all day next Friday and Saturday. Matt's parents came down from Texas to have Thanksgiving early since we are going to see my family for Thanksgiving this year. They helped us put up our lights on the house and our Christmas tree.

Emily the Little Drummer Girl. Oh, we finally bought Booty Shakin' Santa today. She keeps going to him and pushing the button to dance with him.

These are some of Matt's Star Wars and Family Guy Christmas decorations. There are a few more that he wants to get but can't seem to find them here in town.
Here's our stockings. I had to put them on the bar because we don't have a fireplace in our house. I don't know why they don't have one. I need to get Emily a new stocking for Christmas. It's not her first Christmas anymore.

I got this gingerbread cookie jar, candy dish, and salt & pepper shakers at Cracker Barrel today. If anyone needs ideas for Christmas for me they have a matching teapot and little cups. They are all so cute.
This is Emily's area. I tried to put all of her stuff together so it would be easy for her to get to instead of the Christmas tree.
Here is the Booty Shakin' Santa and some new beanie baby gingerbread family and a reindeer.
Matt had to get the snowman, penguin, and polar bear when we were at Cracker Barrel today for Emily.
Here's Matt and his dad hanging up the lights on the house.

Here's the porch with all of the decorations.

It looks really pretty at night. We bought a little blow up Snowman and Santa. You can't see the Santa because we had to take it back. It was defective. Matt says he doesn't do roofs so we just have lights along the perimeter of the house for now. We were the first one's on our street to put up Christmas lights. I saw more people putting them up today since it was so nice today.

Walking!!

It's still in the early stages of it, but she is doing it. Matt's Christmas party at work is this time next month and it will be at Incredible Pizza. He wants her to be fully walking by then so he can show her off to all of his co-workers. Like he doesn't do it already.

Playin' Around

Emily and I were playing around after we got home today from daycare. Her knew thing that she does now is shutting doors. For some reason it is just so fun to her. She's pretty brave to do it when she's in a dark room.

Snow Globe

Today we went to Home Depot to buy some Christmas decorations for the outside of our house. Matt wants to go all out since this is the first Christmas in our new house. We have been putting Emily in the basket part of the carts because she gets to wiggly in the seat part. She likes to stand up in it and bounce up and down. When she was standing in the cart she kept pointing up to something and was going nuts over some blow up decorations for outside. I think she was pointing to one of those huge snow globes that go outside that had Mickey Mouse in it and some other characters. We were laughing so hard that we were on the verge of crying. It was funnier than the booty shakin' Santa, the first time. When we were going to the checkout, Matt saw a bunch of small snow globes that can sit on a table. Of course he had to get one for her. She really likes this one and keeps playing it over and over. Of course not in the video. The music is pretty loud on it.

Ooohhh!!

Well, we finally got our camera/video camera back. My parents came down yesterday to bring our camera and of course to see us, but mostly to see Emily. Matt and I wore some OSU shirts yesterday and we had Emily in her OSU cheerleader outfit. She looked so cute in it and when we went out yesterday everyone was looking at her. Before she would not wave to anybody that waved to her, but now she'll wave to anyone. Matt and I tried to get her to say OSU, but we just have the Ooohhh part down.

A Few Steps

Out of nowhere Emily stood up tonight and took a few steps on her own without holding onto anything. I started saying yeah to loud and she fell right down. I guess she lost her concentration. She got right back up and took a few more steps and then sat down to clap for herself. Anyday now she'll be walking everywhere. Where's the camera when you need it? Oh yeah, in Tulsa.

Emily's First Month

Here are a few of my favorite pictures from Emily's first month. It was really hard to narrow it down to these. Enjoy!
Here is Grandma (Matt's mom) holding baby Emily. She was not even a whole day old. I just noticed that Mr. Beaver is wearing Emily's first hat from the hospital. At Mercy hospital, they have volunteers that crochet hats for all of the newborn babies.

She looked so cute in pink.

Emily was ready to launch off in her carseat.

The little lovebug in action.

Here's Pops (Matt's dad) holding Emily.

The little Party Pooper.

Mommy and Emily cuddling.

Sleepy Emily.

Cousin Bethany and Emily.

Grandpa (my dad) and Emily.

Mimi (my mom) and Emily.

Emily's first Halloween as a leopard.

She can be a Little Terror at times.
