A Thought

It's weird to think that this time last year today would be my due date. Last year we were wondering when she would finally decide to come out of my belly. And here it is one year later and my baby will be turning one in a few days. Boohoo!!

Ready for Birthday Party!!

Today I bought a few decorations for Emily's birthday party on Saturday. I blew up a few balloons to let her play with them. It was funny seeing her chase after them and then they would fly away once she got close to them.

Walker

On Saturday, Matt took Emily's pink exosaucer apart. It turns into a little walker. She has started to walk around the coffee table while holding onto it. So, we thought she might try to walk a little with this. It rolls pretty easy and when she tries to do it she almost falls forward. We'll have to post another video of her walking with it once she gets the hang of it.

Making a Mess

This morning I caught little miss Emily pulling everything out of her diaper bag. I thought something was up when she was being quiet.

Doing the Dishes

Gotta start her young.

Biting Nose

This picture should come after the video. I kept telling her to give Chris a kiss and she just started biting his nose instead.

Buckin' Emily

We hung out with Chris and Jessi Sunday. Uncle Chris was bucking Emily on his knee and she loved it. Notice how Matt is too into his game to even look over at her.

New Clothes

Yesterday, my mom, Emily's Mimi, came down from Tulsa. We went shopping today for some new clothes for Emily. Now that the weather is getting cooler she doesn't have very many warm clothes for the new season. So we got her a few new outfits. Notice almost everything is pink and brown. I guess that's what is hot this season, plus they are just too cute.

I love this one with the pink fur trim. What really sold us on it is the hat that came with it.

I really like this one too. We found the green top with the dogs, the tights, and hair clips at Gymboree. I hardly ever shop there because everything is so expensive there, but we got a good deal on it all. We got the pink skirt at Dillard's for only five dollars.

I saw this poodle outfit on Abbey and saw it at Dillard's too. We had to go to two Dillard's to find the right size for Emily.

Emily has pretty much outgrown all of her bedclothes. We found these jammies at Macy's. They are really soft and look very comfy. I just wish they made these kind for grown ups.

We got this outfit at Macy's. It's really cute too. Plus it has leopard print on it.

Tickle Me Emily

Emily was laughing so hard when Matt was tickling her. I think she was tired of it by the time I got the camera and started recording it.

Baby Legs

I found these leggings on a website last week, www.babybella.biz, that sells all sorts of baby items. They just come up to the top of the thighs. So it is a lot easier to change her diaper. Of course, Matt doesn't like them. He thinks they are dumb. Everyone was complimenting them at daycare today.

Emily Ann

I just love this picture of Emily. She looks so grown up in it. Brian, Lacey's husband and Jessi's brother, took the picture at Jessi's shower. Brian and Lacey are such great photographers. I wish I took good pictures like them.

Halloween Outfit

Ok Chris, hopefully you don't have this outfit too. I got this at Target for Emily to wear to daycare on Halloween. It says Ghouls Just Wanna Have Fun.

Halloween Costume

I came home from Jessi's baby shower Saturday and found a box in the kitchen. I had ordered this ladybug costume last week and was excited to see that it came in the mail so fast. It looks so cute on Emily. You'll have to wait and see her in it until Halloween. Hopefully she'll have a new friend to go Trick or Treating with by then.

Ridin' & Wavin'

She loves her new car that Pops and Grandma got for her. She's always climbing on it and playing with the buttons. She finally figured out how to push herself forward. Sorry about the lighting being so bad. I didn't think to turn on a light.

Shaking Head No

Yesterday was Jessi's baby shower. It's amazing how much stuff she got. It took her about an hour and a half to open all of the gifts. There were lots of babies there too. Emily had fun playing with a few of them, but she said she didn't have fun yesterday.

Day At the Oklahoma City Zoo

Matt's parents came down for the weekend and on Saturday we decided to go to the zoo. I wasn't to impressed with it. I like the Tulsa Zoo better. I guess because I've been there more and remember it better. At the OKC Zoo, we didn't see many animals. I guess it was too warm for them and they were all hiding to cool off. We went in the morning so it wasn't that hot.

We tried to get Emily to wear her pink hat. It didn't stay on for very long.

I guess this is the customary thing to do. Take pictures of your baby sitting on some sort of animal sculpture. So we did too.

I'm sorry, I had to add it, this picture is too funny. Matt was running down the pathway to capture this picture. Of course, something like this had to happen on Emily's first trip to the zoo. I guess this trip was educational too. We'll have to go back next year to see if there is a baby zebra.

More Zoo Pics

Matt caught a picture of Emily looking out at Emily the Gorilla. She was mesmerized by them.

This was a neat picture of one of the tigers.

Emily was so tired by the end of our trip, she missed her morning nap, and she just passed out in her stroller. The poor thing's hair was wet from being so hot.

Breakfast at Cracker Barrel

We went to eat breakfast at Cracker Barrel yesterday morning. Pops bought her a new teddy bear there and she seemed to be more interested in the bag it came in than the bear. She's at that stage now where she starts to throw everything. She was throwing the bag behind her head in the second picture.

New Car Toy

Matt's parents came down from Texas to see us this weekend. They always have something for Emily everytime we see them. This time they came with this cute little car for her. It makes lots of different sounds. She wanted to get on it and couldn't wait. Matt wasn't fast enough at putting it together. She's only figured out how to go backwards and ended up in the kitchen.

After Cookie

I finally figured out how to upload a video from our camera thanks to Matt's dad. This is after Emily had her first cookie one day and she was going nuts in her jumper. Just double click on the arrow and it should play.
